This month’s CASA 2 action was truly memorable and left a deep impression on all involved. We experienced an intense mixture of sadness and joy in the same moment. Sadness sprang from the eyes and hearts of people who desperately claimed that they were forgotten even by God, living in conditions that were hard to imagine, without electricity and without the bare necessities.

The joy was felt when some of these people exclaimed that God had sent us to them because they had nothing to eat that day when we offered them bags of food. When we gave them blankets, pillowcases and bedsheets, they expressed genuine joy, gratefully stating, “Finally, now we have something to wrap ourselves in!”

This action has become possible thanks to your involvement, people with a heart for people. The bedsheets and pillows were donated by an entrepreneur from Vaslui, who was impressed by the way some people live in poor conditions in areas far from the city, with children having to travel long distances to get to school. Their needs are manifold, ranging from food, hygiene products to baby and adult nappies.

The NonStop project aims to support people in need in difficult situations who need immediate help. We want to be ready to respond to such requests, which cannot be delayed.
